Who Can Apply?

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and meet physical fitness standards to ensure they can safely perform the demanding tasks involved in the work. Individuals with experience in forestry are welcome to apply. We also offer comprehensive training programs for the right individuals without experience. 

What is On-Call Work?

Once you apply, we will reach out to ensure you are a suitable fit for our team. Upon acceptance, you will be added to our on-call list. As job opportunities that match your work profile arise, we will send you an email detailing the job specifics, including location, type of work, schedule, and estimated job duration. If you respond with interest, we will contact you promptly to finalize the details. If you are not interested, there is no obligation, and we will continue to contact you with future opportunities. Priority will be given to individuals we have previously worked with or those with experience that most closely matches the job requirements.

There is no limit to the number of jobs you can accept or decline. We value your flexibility and understand that availability can vary.

Work Locations

We operate throughout the western United States, with the majority of our work being completed in Colorado.

Training

We provide comprehensive training for all equipment, especially specialized tools. Safety and proficiency are our top priorities. Our training program covers essential skills, safety protocols, equipment use, and job-specific techniques. It includes both classroom instruction and hands-on practice.

Pay

We offer competitive hourly pay that exceeds industry standards, reflecting your experience and the type of work performed. We pay W-2 via direct deposit on a bi-weekly basis, with overtime paid at time and a half. Our pay rates vary depending on the job type and your experience, generally ranging from $18 to $40 per hour, with opportunities for higher rates for highly experienced individuals with specialized skills. We also offer performance-based bonuses and incentives for exceptional work, including safety bonuses and project completion bonuses.

Equipment 

Pine Brothers provides all necessary equipment for the job, including PPE, chainsaws, chains, wedges, ropes, work shirts, and other essential gear. Workers are responsible for providing sturdy work boots and work pants.

General Work Schedules and Hours

Exact schedules vary from job to job, but generally, we work on a 3-week on, 1-week off schedule. During the 3 weeks on, we maximize our working time by working Monday through Saturday, with 8-12 hour days.

Benefits

Depending on the job, benefits may include lodging arrangements, meals, and reimbursement for travel expenses such as flights or gas.

Certifications

Some tasks, like working around power lines or herbicide applications, require specific certifications. General tasks may only require basic training and safety knowledge. If a specific job requires certifications, we can cover the cost and set up the certification class/test on a case-by-case basis.
